LA SALLE overhauled from a six-point third set deficit to waylaid Adamson, 25-20, 25-18, 25-22, for its eighth straight win yesterday at the start of the second round of the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament Saturday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Earlier, Far Eastern University defeated National University for the second time in four days, 25-15, 25-19, 25-18, to boost its ‘Final Four’ bid.
The Lady Tamaraws moved up to third spot with a 5-3 card, while the Lady Falcons slipped to fifth place with a 4-4 record.
Cha Cruz finished with 18 hits, including three blocks, while Abigail Maraño chipped in 11 points for the Lady Archers.

The Lady Tamaraws will next take on the Lady Archers, a match which might be the turning point for the Morayta-based spikers campaign to make a return semifinals appearance after a two-year absence.
